Islamic scholar and interfaith leader Muhammad Shahidullah has been honored once again in the international arena. He received the honorary World Peace Award at the International Peace Conference organized by the World Peace Award Committee in Stockholm, Sweden. This award was handed over to Muhammad Shahidullah on August 27. The award ceremony took place at the historic concert hall of the Quality Hotel Globe, adjacent to the Parliament area of Stockholm, Sweden, where Nobel laureates are presented.
This 5-day peace conference started on August 26. Various discussions, exchange of views and question and answer sessions were held in it. Not only receiving the award, UNA-USA co-chair Muhammad Shahidullah gave a speech on the topic of 'Universal Human Values through Interfaith Dialogue' as an invited expert. In a message after receiving the World Peace Award, Muhammad Shahidullah said, "Thank you to the World Peace Award Committee for nominating me for this award." This International Peace Prize has increased my responsibility. I wish for everyone's cooperation and prayers so that I can do more work to protect world peace in the future.
